Here's a peek of Geoffrey and Myles' dessert buffet table that we styled for their wedding at Biltmore Hotel and Suites in Santa Clara. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
This is a story about a little girl named Tessa who turned 6 years old this May, and wished for a Unicorn-themed birthday.
Upon hearing of Tessa's wish, her mother sought the help of Aunt Angel who knew about magical Unicorns living in some enchanted woods that wasn't anywhere, just a place one could dream of. And that's where Tessa and her friends went to celebrate.
That special place was guarded by two immaculately-groomed gold horses who stood watch over the sparkly-colored unicorns who lived there. It was a place where rainbow-colored clouds could be stored in jars, and white clouds were used as pillows for the Unicorns to sleep on. One of the adventures the Unicorns loved to do was to venture into the enchanted woods to collect magical wands made of pretzels! Tessa and her friends ate what the Unicorns loved to eat- Unicorn Toast made of Rice Krispies, Vanilla Cupcakes, Magical Sugar Cookies, Moon Kisses made of Vanilla meringue cookies, and Rainbow Candy Necklaces!
But alas, it was time to go. Tessa and her friends said goodbye to their Unicorn friends, and they were all deeply filled with joy!
We are so excited to share with you our Versailles-themed Dessert Table which we styled for a baby shower. We found creative inspiration from the Palace of Versailles in France- the epitome of opulence, lavishness and architectural grandeur. The table was decorated with ornate tapestry, gilded medallions, masks and feathers which are reminiscent of the Masquerade Balls of Versailles.
The guests enjoyed Cream puffs and Chocolate Eclairs, Sugar cookies shaped in baby items, Chocolate-dipped Strawberries, Chocolate-covered Oreos both with gold crown toppers, French Macarons, and Tiramisu shots.
Isn't this such a grand dessert table?

May your day be special!
"That your day, in other words, leaves you feeling like you’re known. And appreciated. And liked. And loved, for the person you are and the person you’ve been and the person you’re becoming — none of whom is perfect, none of whom pretends to be, none of whom would really want to be perfect or even hang out with someone perfect because perfect chokes all the laughing and the falling and the exploring and the growing out of life."
- Hedi Stevens, "Balancing Act " Column Writer,
Understated...clean lines...careful craftmanship...wherever you look there is something that delights the senses"
-Maximilian Missoni, Volvo Vice President, Exterior Design on the new Volvo Luxury SUV XC60.
Choice adjectives uttered by Mr. Missoni. For us at Sweet Events Bay Area, these words served as our guide in creating Volvo's dessert bar. Marked by natural wood and metal materials, simple lines, and gourmet versions of well-loved classic dessert treats such as Twinkies, DingDongs, Berry Pies, and Chocolate Chip Cookies, the charming dessert table exuded elements of warmth, and a sense of familiarity. Inspired by the Scandinavian design, the table had a minimalist aesthetic that was high in function, low on fuss, and a delight to the senses from all the yummy goodness!
This was one of our special projects too because we not only created the dessert bar for Volvo, but also organized the food and drinks which consisted of a variety of quick bites, and the barista bar service for this event. The presence of the barista bar was a great addition. Aren't desserts and coffee a great paring combination? Guests enjoyed an open bar of macchiato, cappuccino, espresso, latte, cold brew, americano and more. How awesome is that?
If you are interested to have us take care of the planning and coordinating of the food, drinks, and/or add an Espresso bar at your event, let us know.
Check out the photos below!
The broadcast team chose to hold their interviews right in front of the dessert table. (And yes, we were thrilled by that decision! )

We were thrilled that Google asked us to work with them again for their 2018 holiday party! Their theme was Winter Wonderland, a popular theme for us in 2018. We were tasked to create two candy bars. Since this event was a more formal affair, we took inspiration from the snow white landscape of winter but kept the bars simple, chic, and sophisticated.
This year's holiday party was held at the prestigious Bentley Reserve, the former San Francisco Federal Reserve and prominent landmark of the Financial District.

Happy New Year everyone!
Here is the first set of photos from our candy and dessert bars from these past months. These are from our Winter Wonderland-themed candy bar for Autodesk. In styling this table, we wanted to recreate the snow shrouded forest one would experience in the back country during the dead of winter. It was so much fun!
It's been awhile since our last post. These past few months have been really busy for us. As a result, we have accumulated batches of new photos of dessert and candy bars that still have to be shared. We will post them these coming weeks, watch out for it!

This is the yellow and gray dessert buffet table we set up at the St. Joseph's Basilica Hall in Alameda last weekend.
The principal purpose for this buffet table was truly unique. It was a special tribute by the family for a beloved member, Herb, who passed away.
The dessert table celebrated Herb's life by highlighting his achievements in service and those he enjoyed doing through the custom-made labels and signage we positioned around the table. As a result, it united guests in their heartfelt appreciation for Herb. Even for us at Sweet Events Bay Area, it was a first of it's kind.
Here are two adorable Father's Day cards that your dad will surely cherish. Print these 2 cards onto A4 size cardstock, cut out cards, and fold.

Cheerful, chic, and bright...words that convey the Kate Spade brand designs; also the same words that sum up our approach to styling this Kate Spade-inspired dessert table.
We stand together with the nation as we bid farewell to a great designer who taught the value of simple aesthetics, and the art of tasteful yet modern styling.
Hello all! The wedding season is upon us and for us at Sweet Events Bay Area, it is a fun and exciting time!
While our energy is focused on planning dessert treats and styling decorations for our upcoming dessert table projects, we are always energized to hear back from our past clients.
Yesterday, we received an e-mail from Julie who informed us that the website of the Bridges Golf Club currently features some photos of the dessert table we created for her wedding (July, 2017). The photos are shown above. It truly makes us happy and, makes our work fulfilling to know that what we do, and our service can mean something larger to others. Below is Julie's letter...
Hello my favorite wedding vendors!
I hope you're all doing well :-)
Wanted to share with you all something pretty cool that I found out yesterday! Check out this link: http://www.thebridgesgolf.com/-photo-gallery(2) . There are a few photos of Tim & I (so flattered that one of them is the headline banner!), and then three of some of the decor at the bottom of the page. Seeing these photos on the Bridge's website made me SO happy. This day was beyond perfect in my eyes and you each played a HUGE role in making that possible. I know I've said this already, but THANK YOU again for all that you did for our special day.
Have a great rest of your week!
You may view the photos at the Bridge Golf Club by clicking on the link that Julie provided. Thank you, Julie!
