This is the yellow and gray dessert buffet table we set up at the St. Joseph's Basilica Hall in Alameda last weekend.
The principal purpose for this buffet table was truly unique. It was a special tribute by the family for a beloved member, Herb, who passed away.
The dessert table celebrated Herb's life by highlighting his achievements in service and those he enjoyed doing through the custom-made labels and signage we positioned around the table. As a result, it united guests in their heartfelt appreciation for Herb. Even for us at Sweet Events Bay Area, it was a first of it's kind.
Here are two adorable Father's Day cards that your dad will surely cherish. Print these 2 cards onto A4 size cardstock, cut out cards, and fold.
We honor and celebrate all fathers and father-figures this Father's day!

Cheerful, chic, and bright...words that convey the Kate Spade brand designs; also the same words that sum up our approach to styling this Kate Spade-inspired dessert table.
We stand together with the nation as we bid farewell to a great designer who taught the value of simple aesthetics, and the art of tasteful yet modern styling.
Hello all! The wedding season is upon us and for us at Sweet Events Bay Area, it is a fun and exciting time!
While our energy is focused on planning dessert treats and styling decorations for our upcoming dessert table projects, we are always energized to hear back from our past clients.
Yesterday, we received an e-mail from Julie who informed us that the website of the Bridges Golf Club currently features some photos of the dessert table we created for her wedding (July, 2017). The photos are shown above. It truly makes us happy and, makes our work fulfilling to know that what we do, and our service can mean something larger to others. Below is Julie's letter...
Hello my favorite wedding vendors!
I hope you're all doing well :-)
Wanted to share with you all something pretty cool that I found out yesterday! Check out this link: http://www.thebridgesgolf.com/-photo-gallery(2) . There are a few photos of Tim & I (so flattered that one of them is the headline banner!), and then three of some of the decor at the bottom of the page. Seeing these photos on the Bridge's website made me SO happy. This day was beyond perfect in my eyes and you each played a HUGE role in making that possible. I know I've said this already, but THANK YOU again for all that you did for our special day.
Have a great rest of your week!

Happy Cinco De Mayo!
Can you believe that we are approaching the second half of the year?
As the saying goes, "Time flies when you're having fun".
And definitely we, at Sweet Events Bay Area, are doing just that! Meanwhile, at the headquarters, the energy is high and the momentum is building as we prepare for the peak wedding season. Based on the number of inquiries on our availability, we are clearly headed toward another full calendar in the coming months. And you know what? We are ready and excited!
Allow me to switch gears as we focus on today's Cinco de Mayo celebration. For most of us, it means enjoying Mexican food and probably a couple of margaritas and cervezas.
To pay tribute to today's holiday, we are sharing two sets of free printables for your party table, and props for the photo booth.
The first set is from the36thavenue.com. The set includes a Table poster, food labels and tags. Just click on the file below to download, print, cut and add picks.
The second is a set of lovely photo booth props from thedatingdivas.com. Check out the second photo at the beginning of this post to see what's included. Click on the file below to download. Then print, cut, and add lollipop sticks on the backside.
To mark this special once-a-year celebration of the galaxy far, far away, we are featuring a photo of our Star Wars-themed dessert buffet table.
May the fourth be with you.
Below, the Thank you letter we received from Google after the event:
It was so much fun working with the Google team for their "Google Land" 2017 Holiday Party held last December at 1015 Folsom Club. The theme was inspired by the all-time favorite, "Candy Land" game, a rainbow-colored candy world. Just the perfect setting for a candy bar!
Google wanted the candy bar to be bright, loaded with candy, and spectacular. And, the candy bar was to be the first thing that guests would see when they first entered the venue. In short, we had to wow them!
With a final guest count of nine hundred fifteen (915), we made sure that the candy were in full supply, and that the 16 foot-table was covered with tempting confections. There was something for everyone. From classic favorites like Hershey's Milk Chocolate & Almond Kisses, M&Ms, Kit Kat, Reese's Peanut Butter, a variety of gummies-gummy bears sour belts, gummy peaches; Holiday sweets like peppermint bark chocolate, and peppermint sticks; and specialty treats like jumbo candy buttons, candy necklaces, cupcake lollipops, and rock candy, to name some.
The three-level 1015 Folsom club was decorated with pre-picked "Candy Land" locations from the board game- The Gingerbread Room (where the candy bar was set-up), Lollipop Woods, King Kandy Lair, Queen Frostine Room, and the Gum Drop Mountains.
With the gum trees on each side of the table, the ice cream cone and ginger bread props on the wall (all created by props2c.com), the candy table was a hit!

We love it when guests take photos and videos of our tables!

Isn't this a cute theme for a baby shower? This dessert table was created for first-time parent, Rajvi and Ama; hosted by Rajvi's best friend, Jennifer.
It was Jennifer who called us, we had worked with her the previous year for the celebration of her mom's 66th birthday. Jennifer shared the details of the baby shower, the invitations were colored gold, gift boxes were aqua blue, table center pieces were red flowers, multi-colored umbrellas were to be hung from the ceiling, and pink umbrellas were ordered as treat boxes. "How can we put all these together?", she asked.
We considered everything Jennifer told us and the theme, "Showered With Love" came about. How? To put it simply, umbrellas=shower + red flowers=love. Colors would be red, gold, aqua blue, and pink. They loved it! See how the table came together!
A special client of ours, Norma, celebrated her 50th birthday at the Crowne Plaza with her family and close friends. We dare say that she looked like a princess turning 18, rather than 50.
Through the years, Sweet Events Bay Area has been present at special moments in Norma's life- at her husband's 50th birthday a few years ago, and at her son's graduation party last year. It was now Norma's turn to be celebrated. We truly are grateful to Norma and her family for allowing us to be a part of their family's milestone events.
Hello Everyone, Happy New Year! It's great to be back. We took a short break after a busy November and December.
2017 was another great year for us at Sweet events Bay Area, and we were happy to end the year on a high note after Google asked us to create a candy table for their Holiday party in San Francisco!
We have some catching up to do on our blogs. We will begin posting some of our events in the next days so stay tuned!
Family and friends came together at the Bayview Dining Room at the College of San Mateo to celebrate and give thanks for Cassidy's Quinceañera, one of the most important celebrations in the Mexican culture marking the passage to womanhood on her fifteenth birthday.
Weeks before, her parents Maria and Andy, got in touch with us to provide the photo booth service for their daughter's special ceremony. Her colors were lavender, silver and white.
And, they requested to include a bible passage special to their family on her photo prints (See the photo above).
On the day of the Quince, the photo booth teemed with guests, and the energy was high. The guest line did not let up from the time we began until the end of the service. So much fun! Check out the photos.

This is the pastel pink and gold candy buffet table we did for Lindsay and Timmy's wedding at the luxurious Fairmont Hotel in San Jose. The pairing of a glamorous gold to a sweet light pink creates a more sophisticated, elegant and romantic color palette.
This pink has been a popular color request for us this year. Maybe because the pale pink (called pale dogwood) was one of the selected top 2017 spring colors by Pantone. It is described by Pantone as "a quiet and peaceful pink shade that engenders an aura of innocence and purity".
Lindsay wanted an all-candy bar for her wedding. The guests were treated to Grapefruit Gummy bears, Chocolate kisses, Strawberry fruit chews, Bubble gum lollipops and much more! Though some guests were too excited to wait till after dinner to fill up their bags (totally understandable!), the candy table was definitely a great sweet ending for the night!
