To set the scene, we determined that we would create must-have elements like a control tower, an airport runway, buildings, clouds, and windsocks for the table. We placed airplanes in spots, some of them positioned like they were flying. For the desserts, we had fun with the labels which included Airplane Gummies, Cotton Candy Clouds, Passenger Bear Gummies, Propeller Pops, Wafer Trolleys, Pretzel Life Savers, Runway Strawberry Belts, Airplane Doughnut Wheels as examples. We also incorporated Lucas' name in the signage like "Lucas International Airport", and Lucas Airlines in the "Now Boarding" and "Baggage Claim" areas.
We were delighted to hear from Lucas' mom, Lily, that her guests loved it! Just view the photos below and see the guests in line as they wait for their turn at the buffet table.
A dessert or candy bar is a great way to personalize your celebration, it is an interactive experience for your guests where they get to pick their favorite treats, and take these home as their party souvenirs. Most importantly, the dessert buffet table generates so much excitement that it provides great memories that guests keep talking about even long after the party is over.
