This was where we set-up a studio-type photo booth for Jaqi and Marcela's wedding last Sunday. We, from Sweet Events, thought that it was insightful and creative of our clients to choose the old silo as the shoot location because of its significant connection to the lavender farm. The silo's warmly decorated interior, the vintage furniture pieces and props (arranged by the wonderful people at Pageo) were reminiscent of a simpler and less complex past. Lighting was critical in this situation as the clients wanted us to showcase the details of the silo's interior, and at the same time, create the highlight and contrast that would define the mood of the scene. With careful planning of lighting positions, ratio, and test shots, we were able to create the exposure and contrast we wanted.
Can you imagine how much fun it was? Guests got really into the photo shoots as they planned their blocking, creative poses facial expressions, and deciding whether or not to use props. Some guests at Pageo commented that this set-up felt and looked like a "magazine-style" shoot. Then, they burst into laughter as they received their prints after each session. Isn't this such a worthy keepsake for your guests?
What is a studio-type photo booth? It is simply a photo shoot with a studio-setting at your chosen event location usually using themed furniture pieces to create the mood, or making the most of the location's architecture as background. We, then, set-up our equipment to capture the photos of your guests as they pose within this set. The guests are handed their prints after each photo session, and the clients are given a copy of all the digital images captured at the shoot.
